Good to know
This information concerns French law.
Article 202 of the French Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) sets out what a witness statement (attestation) must contain: the facts its author personally observed, their identity, their relationship to the parties, and a statement that they know a false statement exposes them to criminal penalties. It is dated and signed, and comes with a copy of an official identity document.
The AI never writes a statement and never suggests any content to the witness. What they attest must come from them alone.
Under Article 259 of the French Civil Code, the spouses’ descendants can never be heard on the grounds put forward by the spouses in a divorce. Prismo never suggests that your children give a witness statement.
The judge freely assesses the weight of a witness statement: a statement that meets the rules is not decisive for that reason alone.
